Strange, I thought there'd be something like this on here already (since there's already one for Peacock).

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this origin story? All I can say is that it's pretty good imo. Poor Ben, though. :'(

Not a whole lot of new info in this story if you've already played the console version of Skullgirls, but it was still enjoyable!
I really liked how Ben was totally fine waking up in his giant Big Band suit. There was no "What have you done to me?! What happened to my body?!" He just wakes up and says, "Hey, this is pretty cool!"

Other things I liked: Seeing Ben and Irvine hanging out and being partners. Irvine shows up again in Ms Fortune's console story, so that's neat. Also seeing how Sarge didn't get away with trying to murder Ben was cool too.

It surprised me that Ben was the cause of the RK Casino's creation. I like that no matter how specific to a single faction one character is, they're linked to another in some way.

One of these days, I'd like to get a corkboard and string together all the connections.

True. No matter how small it may be, there's some connection.

Now, if only there was a way to get the full story of Skullgirls. . .

(I'm gonna be honest: I didn't like how, in that one voting event a long time ago, the true story was locked behind three characters that no one voted for. So far, I'm happy with what we got and the origin stories, but I want a more...complete story.)

I thought it was kind of odd that Big Band got done in hre instead of his earlier investigation into the Contielo case. I suppose Sarge couldn't exactly try to snuff him out with all the publicity with the assassination but now it makes me curious how Sarge reigned in Ben before he started connecting the dots directly to the Medicis.

Well the origin story says this is 16 years before the start of the game, and Squigly was killed 14 years ago, so he would have been Big Band for a while when she died.

If you're thinking this because he and Irvin are arresting Dahlia's goons in his intro, then someone probably busted them out at some point.
