So in the latest Daily Event (Routine Checkup) I can jump straight to the boss without completing any of the fights. Only on Basic though, and Wednesday Night Rawr, which is also available, does not have this issue. Before entering the Daily at all, the completion level shows 7%. Once inside, the two entry fights are selectable and so is the boss fight, plus the fights adjacent to the boss which are connected by blue paths. All the other paths between fights are grayed out as is normal.
I fought the boss and won which caused no change to any of the above. Still blue lines connecting the adjacent fights, still 7%. Fighting the boss a second time yields the 20% reward, not the full boss fight reward.
