What is up with fight modifiers?

Can someone explain why a "5% chance to be resurrected" or "5% chance to not gain any damage" seems to be more like 50-60% to the CPU?
I was fighting a Big Band and Valentine team with some absurdly low modifier for damage reduction and stun, and every hit I landed on them my character got stunned and damage reduction? Fix the percentages or the modifiers as a whole (ლ‸-)
 
It's chance based. A 1% stun chance might proc every single hit. It's unlikely, but it does happen every now and then.
 
What's annoying is when the AI Big Top Bella revives twice in one game with invincibility.
