Hey guys, I wanted to talk about this kind of approach for filia sets. I wanted to talk and ask about 3 points in this post: stats, marquees and SAs
First about STATS, considering that most filias will go with ringlet spike sets like the one above, I guess having accuracy on BHD or Frayed Ends is kind of useless right? Also, I was thinking that maybe going for a defensive style stat distribution would be ideal, since if you're going for bleeds you don't really care about ATK or piercing, but I don't know if that is really the right way to go. Take Frayed Ends' SA for example, it boost her dmg by 50% on bleeding foes, BHD isn't as good but still increases crit rate.
So I'm not sure if the best thing is going for your standard offensive stat distribution (here it would be 5 atk%, 3 piercing, 3 special cooldown and a mix of crit boosts), or is it better to go for a more defensive set, with 100% block prof (3-5 stats slots), 5 hp%, 3 special cooldown, mix of defense/accuracy? Also, this is mostly referring to BHD but applies to any filia with bleeding SA's in general, is accuracy even worth it considering that you need at least 2 ringlet spikes in a set like this? Remember that accuracy does not apply to the first cut and ringlet spike's effect.
Now, about Filia's SAs in general when you want a set like this. Is it really even that important? I mean, a lot of people say that BHD is one of the best Filias but considering you have ringlet spike that guarantees bleed and does a ton of damage (so you really don't lose that much when you build a set like the one in the pic compared to having a set with a lot of blockbusters), you can say that pretty much any other Filia can do what BHD's SA can do but even better since they have their own SA. Heck, even her bronze duo, Frayed Ends is already better than her because of the 50% dmg boost.
''Oh but if you're using BHD you won't have to rely on ringlet spike''. Well, if you won't use ringlet spike in a bleeding set it is just not worth going for it at all. You're trying to get the bleeds as extra dmg, it is not your focus if you don't have ringlet spike, plus BHD's attack if super low, you need those bleeds, they need to be your focus on her (on an optimal use of her, anyway), and the best way to get it is with ringlet spike.
Lastly, about Marquees. If we have 2 or 3 ringlet spikes, is the first cut really that necessary? Hear me out first before calling me crazy. This kind of goes back to the first question since if you're going for the more defensive build I said, TFC will be practically mandatory since you won't be dealing that much dmg by yourself.
But let's say you went with and offensive build. In this case, on a high PF streak for example, you'll be taking a lot of dmg with FE or BHD while you're blocking and since you deal more dmg outside of the bleeds, the HP you get back could really come in handy. I mean, 2 blocked chairs from a strong beowulf almost kills that BHD in the pic (her stats aren't optimal but they are offensive atm), and the 3 ringlet spike combo does a ton of damage by itself even when you don't take the bleeding into account. Plus, if you have a lot of special cooldown (as a good offensive set like this should have), when those 5 stacks you inflicted with the ringlet spike combo ends, you'll be already good to use it again.
So you basically revived yourself to take another blocked barrage, inflicted 5 stacks of bleed and is already set to do it again. If you had TFC, sure, those 5 stacks would be permanent since drillationship is on the set to make sure they get perma bleed, but you're probably going to have to intercept a dashing attack (if they dash) now or you'll end up dying. See what I mean? And it's not just beowulfs that can do this with their chair. Robo fortune's lasers, Peocock's bombs, big band's unflinch dash (almost impossible to intercept it reliably with filia), any blocked BB or Guest Star hits... All of these things will eat your life even if you block with this offenive set in a high streak. So again, I know it seems counter intuitive. but considering all I said, is the first cut really the right way to go on bleeding set if you have offensive stat investment?
