As @missingno mentioned, it sounds like the fight timer expired before the BB 3 finished, and that it likely wasn't quite enough damage to actually finish her off.

@moisterrific There was an issue that we fixed in the past where using a "projectile" based move immediately after a taunt would cause the projectile to not spawn. This may affect more than just Parasoul and Eliza. I'll look into it, may have become borked again at some point. Thanks!
@moisterrific @Danny_the_Dog They are indeed evolved characters, but the server is recognizing their base tier instead. Something we couldn't get in for 1.2.1 but hope to address ASAP!

@moisterrific I don't believe this is Valentine specifically, I think this is the general "characters getting stuck" bug, which should be fixed in the next update. After the update, can you let me know if you continue to see this?

There's no transition from mid-air to the stunned state, so you're probably able to still queue into a blockbuster before resetting to the stand/stunned state. We'll look into it, thanks!
