IMO you guys are not taking into account enemy AI on certain characters. Characters like Valentine, Painwheel and Parasoul are some of the easiest fights to beat imo :3 The enemy AI just dont know how to play these characters :3 :3 :3 Plus they all have abysmal HP :3

The current schedule seems to be a new character every 3 months or so based on their history. (It has been 2 months since the beowulf update and no new character ann. as yet). If double is not the next character, it might be a 6 month + long wait :3
