    Scribble Cat Collection

It's just a developer injoke. Has a rare chance to spawn any time Cerebella uses Lock 'n' Load. In the original game taunting also increases the odds of getting it, but I have no idea if that's still the case here since taunts have other effects. Scribble Cat also shows up as an even bigger...

Bug - Normal Used Valentine BB Dead on Arrival on opposing Valentine, Got Victory Screen But Still Lost

That's Val's timeout loss animation. Were you keeping an eye on the timer?

    Fights Wakeups

In most any other fighting game that'd just be a mixup, but here you can tech throws on reaction anyway. I will point out though that there is another issue with wakeups, unblockable charge attacks. The only way to beat those would be with an invincible super, but if you don't have one ready...

Bug - Normal Fight button on team select menu often crashes

In Story/Daily levels (not Prize Fight), most of the time when I try to use the newly added button it ends up crashing and eating my energy, have to go back to the previous menu and fight from there to get it to work. And no matter how many times it happens, I keep forgetting to stop hitting...

Everything I hate about fighting games

Val and Peacock have shorter throw tech windows. But they're still consistently techable on reaction, much longer than the original game. And you're always allowed to tech even if you weren't at neutral. So you should pretty much never be getting thrown in this game, throws might as well not exist.

    Fights Vampire on VS

Every prize fight has its own gimmicks. The next one will have something different. I actually think Vampire is, for once, really strongly in the player's favor. Any hit that doesn't kill you means you'll get it all back.

Fights Whiff punishing and other rants...

All supers are fully invincible until recovery ends. Any 'punish' is really just the AI choosing not to block afterwards. No, I have no idea why it's like this. Bella sweep getting nerfed was not intentional, they were trying to just fix sweep -> sweep and ended up breaking the move altogether...

Fights On the subject of Invincible Fullscreen Unblockables

This x1000. If a stat gap simply means I can't afford to make even one mistake because I could die off one punish, but everything can still be dealt with if I play my cards right, that's the kind of challenge I like. But when a stat gap means I can play perfectly and then just die to a wakeup...

    Fights BBs too much invincibility?

I'm comparing it to the original Skullgirls. Argus is not invincible there.

Is there any way to evade Unblockable BBs?

The game tries very hard to prevent you from evading unblockables, if it detects you're in an invincible state during the superflash it will just wait. Which clearly says to me that you're not supposed to be able to do this, and ways to trick it would probably get patched out. But yes, right...

    Fights BBs too much invincibility?

I think I should clarify exactly what the issue is. As far as I can tell, every super is fully invincible all the way through recovery. Anything that looks like a punish is just the AI choosing not to block afterwards. But I've never not been able to block after my own supers, so I'm pretty sure...

Fights On the subject of Invincible Fullscreen Unblockables

If you raise your stats, the PF opponents scale accordingly. The whole point is that you don't fight opponents at similar FS. Unless you're already close to the max, it isn't going to help. And no one has even responded to all the times I brought up Bronze vs. Gold matches. I even gave you a...

    Fights BBs too much invincibility?

Making every single super safe on block, even fast reversals like SSJ, is such a baffling design decision. And old habits die hard, at first I kept trying to punish Argus between the beams only to be reminded that you can't do that here. I really just want to know, why on earth is it like this...

Fights On the subject of Invincible Fullscreen Unblockables

The devs have said this is actually a bug with evolved characters not getting calculated correctly, so that's gonna get fixed. And I only see these pop up once in a while, most of the time I have to pick from three matches that are all 3x my level. I would like to see this actually turned into a...

Fights On the subject of Invincible Fullscreen Unblockables

Perhaps you may be right. But I will say it's not like I hate RPGs or anything, hell those single-player grindy modes in ArcSys fighters have always been a guilty pleasure of mine (though I always stop having fun once I get to the endgame where they start throwing equally stupid nonsense at...

Fights On the subject of Invincible Fullscreen Unblockables

After a, uh, heated discussion on Discord the other day, I was asked to post a more detailed writeup of my thoughts on the matter here. Strap in, 'cause this is gonna be long and blunt. And if a fight breaks out, I'm just gonna blame @Liam so go yell at him instead of me. But before I get into...
