Bug - Normal Accursed Experiments AI

I'm not sure if it's just the AI cheating to add to difficulty but when I'm doing Accursed Experiments when I'm about to kill a fighter they do a blockbuster and it hits no matter what. I got grabbed by beat extend from the other end of the arena and then during a combo the big band used his unblockable even though he was stunned and in the air mid combo.
