It´s not a problem of your internet or device, there where an attack to the skullgirls mobile servers, and menacing spam flooded the in game chat, so there was a lot of confusion along all the players.
The devs are working hard to fix this security issue, but they shutted down the chat service. It sill be back as soon as possible, please, be patient my friend!
