Bug - Normal Chat option not appearing

Since today the chat is entirely gone and I haven't been notified as to why. Under the gameplay settings, I have the chat option turned on, yet it doesn't appear in any tab from the menu I go to.
I haven't been notified as to why this happened, so I would like to know what causes this, and how to fix it.
