To be totally honest, I am a HUGE FAN of skullgirls, I was so hooked to the game that I have been playing for 3 years plus, and I have not missed a single day of log in.
However, my enthusiasm for the game depleted greatly after spending some hours today playing the game and coming to the realization that I'm gonna quit playing, cus I can't spend hours playing a game that was designed to make you lose...
games are meant to make players happy and keeps one's emotions in-check or make one forget some certain problems etc, but skullgirls has made sure that's not the case.
I enjoyed it very much during the early years I started playing, yes some things are quite challenging but it's a sort of challenge that can be beatable, a fair/fun challenge, but In the lights of recent events/updates, the challenges have become near impossible, the small chance that you will even be lucky enough to beat a challenge, you end up with a heart attack, or be left in frustration, anger and tantrums...
Not to mention new variants with signature abilities has been released to make sure that the little chance you have of beating a near-impossible challenge becomes utterly impossible, with modifiers placed to checkmate whatever style it is that works for you...
You will reach a point, your characters deal little-to-no damage against characters of over 70k that spams armor, regeneration, unflinching, buff transfer and removal, revival, and some that inflicts stuns, wither, hex etc then you have modifiers granting thorns, converting bleed to regeneration, granting stacks of regeneration and armor, second life, final stand etc and you have a 20k fighter and you are supposed to win under 3 mins with no help or leverage or whatever, then you have to deal with marquees, I can keep going with all the things/situations that rendered this game unplayable and some of the things that doesn't "make sense" which could be considered as "cheating" to ensure that you don't win or cross a particular challenge... But I don't want to bore anybody with such details, I've made my point and that's what matters.
It was fun but I can't keep commiting my time and money playing a game that will leave me in a worse place than my real life problems... Perhaps I'll give my account to my younger ones who have the energy and time to entertain this nefariousness....
