Bug - Normal Game needs to download data to play

Hi

I'm running Android 11 on a Sony Xperia 1 and post 4.9.0 the game is advsing it needs to download additional data each time I play. I get the progress bar of "x"/55 and despite high speed broadband its a substantial packet of data that takes a chunk of time. Off broadband and over 4G while mobile it is several minutes. Why does SGM need to download every time I play now? This happened in 4.8 too but it was a tiny download by comparison.

Add to this that the Valentine Birthday Blowout offer is scaling badly and won't let you press ' X ' to leave the offer. The only way to remove the offer was to quit the game and then be forced to download the update again (over 4G this time taking another few minutes).

I'm not sure why that could be happening, the game shouldn't need to download any additional data every time. Only thing I can think of is that some file was corrupted during the initial install.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend doing a fresh install over a wifi connection and see if that helps.

Regarding how offers are displaying, it's likely related to your phone's aspect ratio. We'll be doing a pass on those in a future update to account for newer devices. In the meantime, some phones allow you to adjust the aspect ratio for each app if you wanna look for that in your settings.

Thanks for coming back to me. I've reinstalled the game and the issue no longer occurs. As the downloading started before 4.9.0 it must have related to to the prior update. Have a great day
