How do we use light, medium, and hard punches?

This game does not have Light, Medium and Heavy Punches and Kicks like the PC/Console Skullgirls. Instead, simple tapping anywhere on the screen will cause your character to do a series of hits using a preset mixture of L/M/H attacks.
When you play the tutorial at the start of the game it walks you through all the different kinds of attacks possible in Skullgirls Mobile.
