Here’s an idea, not necessarily a good one but something interesting I thought up.

I think that every fighter should be viable in a way but unfortunately almost every bronze fighter gets the shaft because of bad stats and poor/outdated Signature abilities. I get it, it’s the new players first fighters and obviously the most common fighter to get. Giving them super great SAs and stats would not make sense.

So naturally most bronze fighters don’t get used and even some of the better ones just can’t hack it in later matches.

I think that it might be fun to have a new gameplay mode where you fight through a gauntlet of fighters, perhaps with specific requirements like in story mode, with the end goal being to unlock either a stat upgrade or a SA upgrade for bronze fighters. That way the fighters can be weak for new players, but also hold some late game potential for the older ones.

Ideally if the shiny fighters did not already exist, I would propose somthing like the “True Arena” like in the Kirby game series, where you have to fight a bunch of enemy’s and a final boss but for 100% completion you can’t just do it once, you have to use every character available. For example, you’d fight through once with Eliza decrypted and then at the end you’d get a shiny Eliza. That would be if the shonys did not already exist and of course that is tedious. But it’s the kind of completionest thing that is a bit more satisfying and permant than a prize fight. Especially with a permant effect award.

Just a thought I had, be nice to do more with the bronzes. Maybe you could sacrifice a bronze fighter to get a chance to play it or on game over? That way you can’t just beat it in a day depending on what bronzes you have.
