Could there be the potential of an offline mode in the future.
A suggestion is to either have 12 fighters pinned while online OR have the competitive versions of all the characters (the ones without abilities). After choosing characters and/or special attacks, it's a ladder match sort of style, where you fight until you lose, progressively getting harder. Then when you get online it maybe turns into rewards.
I think this would promote the game more because you don't have to be online all of the time to play (personally I think that's the only downside of this game, no offline potential) and give players a way to earn some extra coins (which is very helpful for newer players and veterans alike)
