I've noticed this a few times while playing with Overclocked: if she has a single stack of thorns from something, her SA will generate more stacks in time with the precision and barrier gain. (I feel like I may have seen this with other Robo-fortunes too? But I've distinctly noted this one a few times). From what I can infer from playing, the thorns may be tied to the stacks of barrier? When barrier is knocked off, the thorns will go too.
This instance in particular happened with a permanent thorns buff from the Costume Party prize fight.
Before losing barrier: (started with 1 stack of thorns, increased as barrier increased)
After losing barrier:
