Other Rezolution settings

i wanna make the game run as smooth as possible (especially with pvp coming up) without hurting the graphics that much, disabling lighting and stuff helps but if i try to decrease the resolution more than a certain bit, the text becomes unreadable, is it possible to look for a way to keep the resolution settings on menus/text locked to a certain minimum? So the text rez cant be lower than a readable minimum? Even if gameplay rez is lower? There are several games where this happens exacly to keep text readable since menus dont usually lag
