This fight in story mode, the one with Raw Nerv Parawheel and Primed Parasoul is just too restrictive by only allowing 1 bronze fighter with the set in stone characters. I've hit all the defense brackets for the highest bronze I have left, In Denile Eliza and she's only reaching up to 1235. Even with a 21% defense boost and 367 health boost via skills, all it takes is one Pinoin Dash/Violent Grudge to take out half the meter. And it's not like I haven't beaten other matches in an undermatched level, I've beaten other story mode fights with strategy where I've been about 33% of the ai's levels. But in this particular case, as long as it took to get to this point in the game I've got no options to advance because even if I try to buff up another character it won't be as powerful because there's no way to get keys outside of top tier of the prize fights. This fight seems like it should have at least 2 slots to pick, otherwise there's no way to strategize around the reaming of those specific attacks.
 
Eeeh, just revisit it later with another character. IMHO Eliza is not the best character for such fights because sekhmet is too dangerous for oneself, and the point of such story mode fights is to not get hit ever. I think I've done it with painwheel of my own (not fully upgraded, something like 1K FS).

Subjectively, there are worse fights (though mostly because I don't have good characters for them). Especially in Peacock origin story (many solo fights). Especially versus teams with high FS Dread Locks.

Also Bronze PF top 10% is something like 150-170K points.

True, it wouldn't be as annoying as well if not for the fact it's also a branching node for the remaining fights I have for that area. I've tried a few other characters, the main problem right now is since I tried a variety of characters early on, I've got limited bronze keys to bring anyone up. The next 2 bronze I have are Icy Hot Valentine at 927 and Headstrong Cerebella at 647.
 
I find Val a good character to fight uphill FS battles because of her countervenoms. Particularly sedative (drains meter, even if the enemy has BB3 ready, if you manage to end a chain with sedative, you guarantee yourself some more time). They have fast recharge, high damage, and chain into each other (ground - launcher - on fall instead of sweep 2xCountervenom. Or 1xCountervenom+Checkmate Incision. Unfortunately 2 is a hard limit). But YMMV. Most would probably prefer bella.

Hmm, I'll have to give that a try! I've always used her as more of a tank between heavy hitters of bella and parawheel.

I also completed it with a 1K FS Painwheel, although I'm pretty sure Eliza in sekhmet is more useful due to an easy lockdown combo of "dash -> down -> dash -> charge -> dash -> down." Completely safe and free damage, plus the combo from sekhmet's bite recharges the blockbuster fully by the time you are brought out of it, so it's an infinite loop of stuns. Just pray they don't get bb3's...
