I decided to play a little before going to bed, and in one of the matches (the link to the replay is below, in it the character dies and the replay ends a little later, without indicating the winner (well, as usually happens when there is inaccuracy)) my squigly stays alive with 7% hp instead of insta-death from debuff (replay and mid-game screenshots attached, almost same time)
Not sure what exactly happened there, obviously I didn't expect this to happen so can't provide devs with video-confirmation.
