Your collection has two 'caps' a hard cap and a soft cap. If your collection is full, usually you're still able to collect items from various sources, as you've shown in your screenshots, this is what we mean by a 'soft cap.'
On the other hand, if you attempted to open a Move Relic while you are at or over the max, the game shouldn't let you.
