Characters Altar Ego is Useless as a Recruit

I'm loving the new recruit nodes in Parallel Realms. It's been very fun to try out characters I haven't unlocked yet and see what new strategies I can come up with. One problem that I've noticed is that since each variant of the same character shares identical special moves, Altar Ego doesn't get a taunt and is therefore unable to use her special ability.
