(traduction) sometimes specials and BBs have a cooldown when the previous combo is over. it's especially annoying for Beat Box and Inkling.

It's likely you're just running into our "infinite prevention" system. Occasionally, moves will stay on cooldown to prevent players from doing infinite combos.
