The daily relic <1> red badge don't disappear unless you return to the main screen by tapping the (<) button at the top left corner while in the relics menu.
After claiming the daily relic and the rewards screen came up(the pop-up that has two buttons, one takes you back to the relics menu and the other takes you to collections). Tapping on collections won't clear the badge unless you go to relics again and return to the main screen from relics.
