Bug - Normal Doom Modifier from Painwheel

I don't have a screenshot for this unfortunately, and there might be a completely logical explanation. But I was fighting a gold prize fight team in the Dame of Thrones fight, consisting of Eliza (Bloodbath), Painwheel (Rusty), and a third character that wasn't Double (I can't remember who it was exactly though). I was using my Beowulf (Dragon brawler) and while fighting Painwheel, I was given the Doom modifier - which ended up killing my Beowulf.

My question: is this possible? If so, how?

Was the last character Squigly? One of her variants can also inflict Doom.

Yeah, come to think of it, it may have been a Squigly (Stage fright) and I may have defeated her with a blockbuster. I absolutely hate Doom. Thanks for your help!
