Evolving Fighter

So I been playing for a month now and I just max out some of my fighters.

When evolving characters would you max out the fighters you sacrificing skill tree too?

you don't need to do anything to the fighters you're planning to sacrifice, it doesn't really affect the evolved fighter

Upgrading the fighters you're going to scrap will have no effect on the character being evolved. You can level them up to receive their level up SP though, which I recommend.
