I'd guess it's a bug, since Hex Calibur's SA1 triggers when I use Brain Drain's Brainstorm Guest Star

AFAIK only those whose SA has to do something with combo count (Hex Caliber, Brass Bandit etc.) can get their SA activated.

I think those only work because combo count is under the "team" concept and not directly tied to unit on the field. As you can activate a 10-hit combo SA with just one hit by tagging in just after the 9th combo by another character.

Therefore there is no bug with Palace Plunderer she works fine with Guest Stars, I tried it just now.

It is a shame really, on top of them not really activating your own SAs they can't even utilize your own precision, lifesteal etc but FOR SOME REASON their damage dealt can be reflected to you... If we can't even properly utilize them to activate our own abilities, why are we taking reflection damage from their attacks? I can't even activate Locked In's SA through Guest Stars, so if I crit with her I take damage instead of gaining invincibility against reflection damage which she should be strong against. I have to prefer a non-crit Guest Star on a unit like Locked In so I don't kill myself accidentally with Guest Star crits which makes no sense.

I want devs to make a decision here, either make them compatible/synergic with us so they can activate our SA, Marquee, Prestige etc or just make them totally independent so their damage dealt doesn't affect us directly. Current implementation is heavily unfavorable and there isn't a clear line about how they interact with users.
