Rift soft locked for me aside I’m too excited not to start a thread on this.

EF1D5C7D-AEB5-4744-9638-CE505CB9AC1C.pngcame across this one fight that I made a 100% bleed resist bigband (with the help of PD’s SA ofc)20CF429A-3F2E-4452-A5B3-DF1B8CA4E4FF.png3CFAC9EC-EA97-4598-AF5E-2DE40821AE8B.png

I have finished A Fishbone to Pick on Master. I would say that it is the easiest of all of the master main story events because the modifiers are the least toxic and the event is tuned for the bronzes and silvers that are primarily required to beat the event. Also BHD helps out quite a bit despite the modifier that increases opposing damage per active debuff.

Really need some help. Just one last node to finish Ascent of a Woman. The Beowulf one. Any tips on how to beat it? You can only use Beowulfs and have to take out three enemies (3 Beowulfs)

I’m not there yet. Stuck on the robo node. There’s a beo combo video somewhere on this forum. It’s got a bunch of different 20+ combos. Maybe that will help.

Your best choice is to use Wrestler X. His SA2 helps a lot in draining the opponent’s HP. Even with him, I can barely just beat the node before timing out.

For moves, use Blockbusters and Special Moves that are multi-hit;
Geatish Trepak
Lupine Pummel
Wulfamanaia!
Wulf Blitzer

Gigantic Arm and Air Wulf are nearly useless in this node since it deals only 1%-2% worth of damage. Consider equipping Aroo Ready to quickly fill up your hype and meter. Gigan Arm Sweep is also decent since it confirms a bleed on hit. Use your blockbusters whenever available as you cannot afford to waste any time in this node.

Yeah, I used Wrestler X and Cold Stones to get through. This was the hardest node to beat, by far. I needed some many tries because you really need to proc the SA as much as possible. RNG is also a factor. Well, at least I got 100%. Not happy with investing so much in Wrestler X, but sure. It's done.

For some reason my wild blitzer only hits once? It’s lvl3. Maybe I need to lvl it more?

Triple tap the wulf blitzer to get triple activations. Other special moves like this include upper khat (Eliza) and bang bang bang (peacock). There are more I think. The game unfortunately doesn’t have any indicator to tell you.

Current sticking point:
Who's the Boss? Downtown (or to use Super Mario nomenclature: Level 2 Map 1)
Treasure node

ENEMIES
  • Private Dick Big Band (4,645)
  • Epic Sax Big Band (4,655)
  • Uncanny Dodge = EVADE every 10th combo HIT and gain HASTE for 10 seconds.

REQUIREMENTS / RESTRICTIONS
  • Must have 2x Big Bands on your team!
  • Silver ONLY
  • Separation Anxiety = Lose 20% METER per second while far away from the opponent.
  • Lethargy = Suffer permanent SLOW. Suffer STUN for 3 seconds after every 10 seconds not using a BLOCKBUSTER.

I feel like I need to raise a Resonant Evil Big Band from scratch (my first ever silver, RE BB, has been a level 50 gold for a long time). My level 36 Robocopy Big Band and level 31 Bassline Big Band just can't cut it. They can barely beat one enemy! Everything else on this map is cleared but this treasure node.

For those that completed this one, what tactics and variants did you use?

So what silvers are best for the last master story? Things go well until the AI gets bb3/unblockable and then I lose a character... Do I have to invest in heavy defensive moves to survive or is there an easier way?

Like i said before, Beat Box is useful thanks to his quick meter built, just be careful to spam them when the enemy is down or far from you, unless you debuff them and you get the debuff too.
Other fighter (wiki order)
Underdog: if you give the enemy a debuff when it bounce back you get armor and haste but its a risky move.
Hype Man: good thing you can drain enemy blockbuster and give 50% meter to your other fighter, bad thing you have to be in hype mode, faster way is to equip three taunts and then spam throws.
Number One: meh, he can have haste, but that's all.
Bassline: on tag in heavy regen and armor for 10 seconds, plus 35% meter.
Beat Box: 25% meter when you use a special, you can equip four and a bb3, i used two plus three blockbuster.
Understudy: armor on throw, you just survive longer.
Big Top: her resurrection can let you fight a little longer when you die, but that's all.
Toad Warrior: the only useful Cerebella thanks to her meter gain, too bad you can't use some of her special and Exellebella because they inflict debuffs.
In Denile: with Sekhmet you gain armor and immunity, but her attack is low.
Bloody Valentine: better, anytime you use a special you gain 15% hp, 15% meter when a blockbuster is used, still her attack isn't very great but every hit should take away 1% hp.
Hair Apparent: use taunt for haste, a blockbuster for 50% chances to reset special moves. You can only use Taunt, Drillationship, Hairball, Drill Tempered and Blowout (and the tag out) moves since they don't inflict debuff.
Heavy Reign: 50% when you do or receive a critical hit to gain 15% meter, risky because you lose hp but is a fast way for her bb3 that does a lot of hits, be careful because you will also inflict bleed.
Nearly Departed: can get invincibility and resurrect teammates with 25% healt, just do the math.
Necrobreaker: if you have one, on the final ht get final stand for 10 seconds, when you charge the tail you get hp.
Dead Heat: gain meter when the enemy have a blockbuster and you haven't, plus her special and blockbuster are unblockable when below 25% hp, almost like the enemy, I would say she's better than the other Squigly but she's risky to use.
Scrub: just tag out to regain 25% hp, the other fighter recover hp and meter twice faster.
Icy Hot: even better, on tag 15 seconds regen and 15% meter, that works also for your other fighter on tag.
Kill Joy: just let her day last so your other fighter resurrect with 25% hp. The other fighter can also get permanent regent when falls below 50% hp and it's at advantage, so choose light or dark for the other fighter.

Painwheel is a big no since she inflict too much debuff, Double, Filia and Peacock too, Ms Fortune only Hellcat or Just Kitten but you have to avoid debuff moves so you can't play as usual, the other fighter variants that i haven't put on the list aren't good for that node (at least for me they aren't).
I would say Icy Hot with Forbidden procedure and Trauma Center as the second fighter, for the first both Beat Box or Bloody Valentine, Heavy Reign if you have moves with high critic rate and/or her first marquee and you don't mind bleed.

I ended up beating it with a ton of retries with different silvers I had. Found that robo does fairly well since she has a lot of many hitting blockbusters which are good for finishing.

Thanks for all the advice.

Purrfect Dark Ms. Fortune (12.9k FS)
Nearly Departed Squigly (11.7k FS)
Kill Joy Valentine (11k FS)
Robocopy Big Band (12.4k FS)
and more!

REQUIREMENTS / RESTRICTIONS
  • Silver ONLY
  • PUNCH THROUGH - DASH ATTACKS are UNBLOCKABLE.
  • POWER OF TWO - BLOCKBUSTERS are UNBLOCKABLE while the opponent has a fully charged BLOCKBUSTER.
  • I WILL SURVIVE - Gain permanent REGEN for every 15% HEALTH lost.
I have a hunch the secret is the same as the one you need to beat the boss node that unlocks this treasure node: a character with heavy attacks to deal enough damage to surpass the regen. So I'm thinking of powering up a silver Cerebella (already have a level 36 Toad Warrior). But I'm curious what everyone else went with. Which silver did you use and why?

Went back and did the node again. Got irritated by the perm regain. Took the moves from my diamond painwheel and put it on my blood drive. Almost won but does by bb3. Purminator finished the job while the opponent had 5 stacks of perm regain. Was fighting a peacock inkling.

If you don’t have a silver purrminator Bleed really helps. B8DEDDC8-6FF1-457D-8234-C7D4EAC978B9.png 6FDEF89B-E4FF-44DE-9ABE-78F72DFD29A0.png Here’s the stats btw.
