Right now, all defensive stats are more or less valuable primarily for late game, and mainly for Rifts. The amount of points you get from defenses on Prize Fights is quite negligeable, considering how many defenses you end up having. I think the formula should be updated, as to reward players for having a well invested defense set up. For each successful defense, reward value should be drastically increased, and grant at least 2 to 3 times as much points as it does now.

This is needed because the game is becoming bloated with Prize Fights. I have work, personal life, and other games I want to spend time on. Casually enjoying SGM is only becoming harder and harder as more stuff gets added. Improved way of gaining points on prize fights can help players like me not fall behind the endless grind

I get it, you mean having the bounty reward that shows up on PF defenses apply for both players, right?

These fight rewards getting increased. Anything below 100k is negligible, and barely assists you in reaching a PF goal

I like how it is right now. This would only encourage people to put up nastier defenses which would make it harder to use niche/outdated characters and make it more tedious to grind for rewards.

Most of the time I intentionally put high-score yet easy to beat teams for easier grinding experience for others. Also the game only checks the "total fighter score" before selecting your opponents so far as I am aware, so even if your defenders can be meta they gotta have high fighter scores first to be shown to high streak players.

However I do sometimes put a strong defender team which can net me around 1m-2m points for every 10 matches which isn't too bad for passive points.

I disagree. Your argument here is strong defenders vs bad defenders. But regardless of which you choose, defense stats are still significantly less valuable due to how many points you get while defending. Win or lose, over 90% of your points are gained from offense. Bad/Gimmicky defenses get a lot of fights, which end up granting about the same amount of points as a good defense. The point of the matter is, regardless of what kind of defense you choose, you should be rewarded with more points for successfully defending. If you want to give people an easy time, that's fine. But that shouldn't be the rule for everybody.

A simple solution would be to add a modifier based on the Prize Fighter tier

1x for Bronze
1.5x for Silver
2x for Gold
3x for Diamond

My argument is that there is a direct correlation between the selection of defenders and the defense point system.

Making successfully defending actually rewarding would only mean that people will lean to use a more tedious combination of defenders. Stronger defenders = Higher winrate. Most of the opponents you see on high streak just throw those random variants there because they don't care the gain from the successful defense, they could have used from the pool of top 10 most tedious defenders as well. It is not because they can't, it is just they don't care.

There are still strong defenders with high bounties as well, those guys help heating up the PF experience by making it harder and more rewarding. Now imagine everyone doing the same because successful defense is actually meaningfully rewarding. Why would anyone use weaker units when they can get more points by using stronger ones as they would have a higher successful defense rate? This would just undermine the horrible state of the current game balance and make it significantly harder to use most of the units.

I don't wanna use or see the same units again and again just to grind some PF points. PF is chill and I can use and have fun with all of my units thanks to the highly variable defense teams people use.

I disagree with that argument. People would be throwing around uninvested, no abilities, low level fighters if they were doing it just for the sake of it.

My previous 2 argument still stand

1 - People will still make unoptimized team compositions, because naturally more people will choose to fight them.

2 - With your argument, defensive stats like HP%, Defense, Resistance, Crit Resist and Block Proficiency become irrelevant, because people don't care about the defense win. I disagree with that

Plus, on Dia PF at high streaks, people already use the same defenses, so nothing will really change, apart from people getting rewarded for playing the game as intended
