I will avoid over explain.

Guest star punish too harshly counter-attacks or interceptions.
When you used to catch up the enemy with a good timed attack, guest star can be activated just before, forcing you to stop your attack in a moment when it is lethal.

When a guest star forces you to block or eat the hit in interception, you will stop your attack, if the enemy doesn't fall in that time it will have time to start an attack.

Even BB3s have a rule before being used by opponents. They have to hit us (blocked or not) first to set the BB3 off. But Guest Stars are just way too erratic, they can even punish you for frame-trapping.

And having no control (like wither and lock for GS) over enemy guest stars doesn't really help.

yes, it feels off game.
There are not buff or similar that affect guest star, it feels like something that is just not complete.

Most of the projectiles or attacks are cancelled when you get a hit, for example dahlia's bullets.
But guest star just keep going.

Speaking of projectiles, some don't work like they used to since their introduction. Notably Peacock's projectiles phase through the opponent when you use Deadly Airport. That was not the case before, allowing you to get a few additional hits off before it triggers. Was especially good with Air George because of the Armor Break

Ah, yes, i think that it is very weird, it was changed just before i asked about how to play her!!

btwm some projectiles don't fade away when you are hit, like peacock bombs, but they are fine because they are just a few one moves that just those characters can use in some cases.

GS is something that all characters has in any moment.
