Bug - Normal Watching Ads Does Not Restore Streak, But Still Goes On Cooldown

Basically exactly what it says on the tin. I've made sure my connection is good, that I'm using Wi-Fi, and whenever I use the free watch an ad option to restore lost streaks, it invariably gives up, goes on cooldown, and I'm thirty minutes out (either waiting for another chance to watch an ad and maybe restore the streak or getting back to the streak I had) or made to rustle Theonite from story challenges.

As you might be able to guess, this bug is supremely frustrating, especially to a free-to-play player who just doesn't have a limitless supply of Theonite to restore my streaks, and it occurring on Prize Fights - limited time events - only adds to the frustration. Are there any known short fixes to this issue? Or is this just something I have to wait on and hope the team makes more stable in a future patch?

I'm only making an official forum post about it now because it's been over a week of me consistently trying the watch an ad option to restore streaks and not a one of them have actually worked, doesn't matter the setting, connection quality, if I restarted my phone that day, if the moon was in retrograde, nothing. It's for all intents and purposes become a "watch an ad to get nothing" feature.

Additional notes:

As an advocate for privacy, my Google Ad preferences are to remove any and all personalization features, meaning that I pretty consistently get served the same five or six ads from Google's systems - Vinted, Tiktok and some alternative versions of it that I assume are scams, WhatNot, WebToons, and then some odds and ends here and there - so maybe there's some kind of system in place to filter out illegitimate ad watchers (like bots or something) and not having ad personalization on or watching the same ad multiple times trips it? Not sure.

Update:

It finally worked after the time turned over. Not sure what exactly changed besides that though.
