Who are the strongest characters in the lore?

Canonically? My 2 cents

S+: Eliza (she was capable of killing Aeon and Venus somewhere in the lore, if she can kill goddesses she must be insane)

S: Double

S-: Marie

A+: Annie (over 500 years worth of combat experience, fighting Skullgirls long before anyone else)

A: Peacock, Painwheel, Big Band, Parasoul=Valentine, Squigly

B: Fukua, Fortune, Filia, Beowulf

A: Peacock, Painwheel, Big Band, Parasoul=Valentine, Squigly
I suppose, Parasoul and Valentine should be a bit lower in the chart.
Big Band, Peacock and Painwheel were designed as anti-Skullgirl weapons, and Squigly has some out-of-this-world abilities.
Parasoul and Valentine are (mostly) normal people.
And I wonder where Cerebella stands, power-wise. And Robo-Fortune, for that matter.
And Umbrella too.

There's a lot of questions about this one, considering Aeon and Venus' status.
But no question about Eliza's giant power level. She can single-handedly force a lot of major changes in the SG universe. That seems to be her hobby, after all.

I kind of think that we don't have enough information yet to measure the power levels of the most characters.
Though, The Skeleton is the most powerful of all, remember my words.

Ah crap, I forgot about Cerebella and Robo Fortune lol. I forgot Squigly is capable of manipulating space so I should definitely put her above Parasoul and Valentine, but Valentine, in a few stories, was capable of taking down all of lab 8 and their ASG fighters, I believe that was during Peacock's absence looking for Marie and Big Band investigating the River King Casino which ultimately got him distracted by Beowulf who was sent by Double. So those experiments she did on herself made her superhuman to a lesser degree of the more powerful ASG I imagine.

Cerebella most likely in B tier. Robo top of B?

Weren't the story modes (Peacock's especially) saying, that Valentine brought the Skullgirl in the Lab? Double was probably there too, at least, according to Big Band's story. They needed Valentine to show the way to the Lab, so they could thrash it and its anti-Skullgirl weapons, but she probably couldn't do it all just by herself (too much even for highly trained and drug-enhanced Valentine).

Cerebella most likely in B tier.
I think she's on par with Parasoul, as both of them are Living Weapon wielders. And Cerebella has a nice ability to turn everything into diamonds. Including some ladies.

Robo top of B?
That's really interesting. But we don't seem to have enough material about her. At least, yet.
Logically, Robo-Fortune has an advantage against Eliza, but it's not like they were interacting in canon that much. Or at all.

I think Big Band's story supports Valentine was directly leading the assault, like solo, Big Band finding all her scalpels, it wouldn't make too much sense for Marie to be there because she was in New Meridian getting ready for the attack on Medici Tower which leads to all the characters being present in the same place, but Robo-Fortune's story also supports Marie being there, which is weird, having all 3 there sounds like overkill lol, so only Double makes more sense. But Double should have been busy with Wulfamania, however she had Stanley's shark tooth as necklace after Beowulf returned after the River King Casino fight.

Aaah! I really hope we get a canon timeline soon 😩

Soooo I guess

S+: Eliza

S: Double

S-: Marie

A+: Annie

A: Peacock=Painwheel(insane durability makes her a viable opponent for Peacock's arsenal?), Big Band, Valentine, Squigly, Fukua(supernatural force with killing intent, could be top of everyone in A tier lore wise I feel), Umbrella(?)

B: Parasoul, Cerebella=Fortune=Robo, Filia, Beowulf

Umbrella stronger than Parasoul?

Umbrella stronger than Parasoul?
She isn't trained, so not in skill, but being a human-Skullgirl hybrid should make her VERY strong. Umbrella mentions she has more power than Parasoul and Parasoul doesn't argue because she knows her sister is a very powerful force.

Parasoul training+Skullgirl power=OP 11 year old 😂

Not to mention Hungern, who is able to consume everyone and everything. And he's insanely powerful in his own right.

And Hungern keeps her power in check I think. I haven't gotten to fully dive into her story since she didn't release on consoles yet, but I think I have some recollection of Parasoul or Umbrella saying Hungern feeds off that dark energy and keeps Umbrella leveled.

Honestly, Umbrella is the character I'm interested in. Her story and character as a hybrid is so interesting.

Indeed!
The fact that she can wield Hungern is important.

Yes, she was an amazing choice as a DLC character. On so many levels.
And now she has The Skeleton too. Hope that this palette will make it to Mobile.

Honestly from what I've seen from the story, Eliza can easily solo everyone. I mean she solo'd filia and squigly without breaking a sweat. I do think u guys hav a valid point for cerebella, but I struggle to believe she can beat Eliza without any plot armor. I don't want to talk about Marie, Dahlia, the more unexplored sg characters. I want to see the story progress more to make a decision on those characters.

Personally strongest top 10 characters in the game (just including the sg fighter roster) :

1. Eliza ( I mean who else can solo everyone in a stylish and satisfying way)
2. Cerebella (purely on strength alone)
3. Double (I mean she can copy most of the roster abilities/traits and has a strong case to be #1)
4. Annie ( I do think she holds back a lot)
5. Peacock ( strong in terms of her power, she can literally drop a bulldozer on top of a person's head, but Annie beats her quite easily, so...)
6. Parasoul ( I think she is more than adequate to deal with everyone below #7, I feel she also depends on her personal army a lot)
7. Filia/Squigly (yes ik it's kinda cheating, but both r relatively the same strength, maybe Samson is a little bit more stronger)
8. Painwheel (scary, but like her in-game counterpart, glass canon like)
9. Umbrella/Hungern (I mean Hungern kinda eats everything, only thing stopping him is Umbrella really)
10. Valentine (I think she does enough to be in 10th place ig...)

Fighters that don't make top #10 reasoning:
Big band is a weird one for me, cuz I don't really know how to rate him. Fortune garbage really. Robo ig she can last a long time, yeh...
Fukua could easily be #1 if she wasn't a joke😂. Beowulf is a wrestler, maybe he can body slam Valentine idk.

I would really like to see everyone else opinion on sg strength, especially a top #10 list if u can (I'm very interested to see it).

Don't be shy

Very many good answers in this thread, it can be seen that they were written by experienced players =) As for my opinion on the matter, my favorite is Philia, which combines both attack and defense, which is within my style of play. For newcomers, I would still recommend to see some general guides, before going into thoughts about the strongest characters =)

I've just been wondering about which characters would be considered the strongest in the SG lore. I'm talking about characters whose strengths and abilities we're aware of at the moment. (I'm using these sites to get some info on the characters' abilities: https://skullgirls.com/characters/filia/ and http://www.labzerogames.com/3rdcharacter/) Which character do you guys think could canonically just beat up another character in a fight? Don't take the whole thing too seriously though because I just want this whole thing to be civilized and peaceful and stuff.
I don't know who the strongest is but I feel like Eliza, Beowulf, Cerabella, and Parasoul (maybe??) are on the list.
