for me it has to be double. shes the one who sets up who becomes the skullgirl after all, and shes basically a mouthpiece for the Trinity

It's a good question. It's probably Double or Marie. Double for the reasons above. Marie as the beating heart of the entire conflict, as well as the one candidate who can potentially turn it all around for the better.
