I’ve been trying to do discord searches, lurking in in-game chat, emailing autumn, etc. and I can’t seem to find a single person who actually got top 100 in the last (June) monthly.
Someone said that they did 1.7b and didn’t get top 100 (which seems questionable ngl in one of two ways: a) they lied or b) scores are being manipulated)
Someone else also said that there were “people” who did 3b which I’m PRETTY sure is impossible as @noconnection has pushed hard enough in a monthly before to reach the score cap which is about 2.14b.
Also, given how even some of the best players in the game don’t even shoot for top 100 in the monthly due to the reward difference for top 10% and top 100 being so negligible that most opt to just take the Diamond relic then stop, I have a hard time believing that there’s been this EXTREME jump in thresholds to get into top 100. Some have argued that the 2x EXP boost to blame for scores reaching crazy places, however given the fact that a) End Game Players don’t have to grind for exp as much as they have already maxed out a bunch of their useful variants and b) it still would be insanely unrealistic for even some of the sweatiest players to not only hit 1b, but to keep playing afterwards to push the threshold for top 100 into the 1b+ range.
I’ve debated whether or not to post this, but the lack of answers has been bugging me all week.
(EDIT: If anyone could post their score + placing and/or any commentary, that’d be cool too.)
