I'm asking for help regarding some characters that I generally use for defense in Rift battles. What moves would you equip to a purely defensive Valentine? What about Robo-Fortune?

The thing that you need to know is to equip an BB3. The rest is not importpant, because all you need in others are the sub stat, and the stat you want are HP%, DEF% and meter gain.

Not true. Certain moves are more effective for defense. For example, don’t use magnetic trap for robo because the AI will not use it correctly and give opening for combo. In general you don’t want to use taunt either for the same reason. Burst is generally useful because interrupting a combo means it’ll take longer.

For Val, you’d want to avoid using syringe. Forbidden Procedure is a must because she will often revive a fallen ally. CVs do a lot of dmg and have short startup time and range vs Lary that often doesn’t connect. Outtakes are generally not useful because it takes up a slot that does not do dmg.

Maybe it’s all different for lower ranks but for D1 every single point matters and you’d want to Min max as much as you can. In most matches the AI won’t live long enough to use BB3.

And Burst?
