I really don't think it's malicious. Good =! Broken. I am also free-to-play and have been playing for about 2 years at this point. I have every gold fighter that doesn't come out of the backstage pass or elemental relics. Golds are no trouble to get, play Rift. My "carry" fighters on the road to 70 were Inner Pieces and a Hack & Splash I got very early. You can do it (and still have fun) with any character. Windswept is still good and there are plenty of other silver and gold fighters that you can use competitively.
As the big nerd I am, my favourite part of the updates in games are balance changes. They keep the game fresh and promote gameplay diversity.
I also am a huge fan of Big Bonk, I'm extremely happy he's finally actually decent (thank you for giving him a chaos banish thank you thank you thank you thank you th)

Don't know why death wish needed her health nerfed along with the SA. I don't know why she needed to be nerfed at all considering how easy she was to beat, but the health drop was extra dumb.
The 5000 shard exchange is a joke. I knew as soon as I saw there was a shard exchange it was too good to be true

Come on, it's a gold fighter. Windswept used to be "Evade once and play however you want for the rest of the match." Her new condition forces you to earn your permanent precision by evading often and well.
And the death wish nerf teaches you how to... play against her better? No, it just made her barely mildly easier to fight. Windswept's nerf doesn't make sense with how many other options they could have gone with.
The nerf to Windswept is understandable. Tbh, I really like Windswept and play her quite a lot, but she's too strong compare to other perma precision. For exp: Star Shine need like 15sec for each opponent she's facing now, and she's nat dia? Parasoul need a special move to get 3 stacks for god sake. Her condition for perma precision is just too easy and fast. That said, losing presicion on knock down is too much of a nerf, as people already said, most of her combo really start after the opponent get knocked down once so that perma precision might not matter at all.
The nerf to Death Wish does not matter to much. Her lifeline when "Oh sh!t I f* up* to me is the MA actually, if you need her SA2 to activate, then you really need to get a nap. The HP nerf also not matter much since she's not a defensive variant.
Ultra Violet buff is cool, I will test to see how her newfound power work.
I will see how Big Band change work since I'm not play him much, and mostly use him on def, his offensive capability, imo, is still not that impressive, we'll have to see.
The price for the dia exchange is a little stiff tbh, 5k dia shard is like 5 dia relics. For a players that really invest in the game, 1 dia relics a month is fair, then it take half a year to save up, but not really sure to get it since the list is for last new player rotation. Not to mention, this will only benefit long term player that able to save up shard to exchange since they got all the old variants, with PE100.
If they listen so much to the community why don't they remove the censorship?
Ah that's right, it's because they block people who are not happy with the slips they comment on and since they don't like what they read they decide to censor people like a certain dictator from Germany with a funny mustache.
Big band rework I can really appreciate after all this time. Was a bit worried about seeing Death Wish in the list of variants touched. Overall kept the same minus miasma and amount healed after first knockdown. This update balanced many things. Super happy to see many of the OG variants were getting caught up to date such as UV and Raw Nerve. Thanks for the update. Still taking it all in.
Yea! Seems her ability works on the second knockdown ( or after the 3rd ringlet hit because they go too high?) instead of the first unlike other variants.
Hey Devs, I have a request to please swap the “Rematch” and “Continue” button in the victory window. Because you added the Favorite Replay button, what used to be “Continue” is now Rematch… this is for AE.
Actually, does anyone ever use Rematch anymore? Can that button just be removed altogether? Or let us skip AE with daily ticket…
Robo Fortune Overclocked is my go to but since the update I don’t understand what’s going on. Her signature “All attacks are UNBLOCKABLE while at 3 stack or more of PRECISION…” doesn’t seem to work with her prestige anymore which grants 5 stacks of precision. Precision states “PRECISION guarantees the next HIT is CRITICAL. PRECISION HITS will not trigger enemy SIGNATURE ABILITIES.” Am I just not understanding the wording here or is this glitched?
Upon further testing the UNBLOCKABLE attacks work for only 3 or 4 stacks of precision but not 5 no matter how you acquire precision. In any case I hope this gets fixed soon because it just broke my whole strategy with her.

NEW MONTHLY FIGHTERS
As usual, we’re adding six brand new Fighters in this update! Each month a brand new Gold and Diamond Fighter will debut as monthly exclusives in Event Relics. The Gold Fighter will also be available on the All Access Track of the Backstage Pass as a guaranteed, final reward!
Although only two new Fighters will be released each month, if you want to try these Fighters out yourself before they appear in Event Relics, look for them on Recruitment Nodes in Parallel Realms. You may also run into all six of the upcoming Fighters in random battles dotted throughout the game.

As always, the new Diamond Fighters have additional visual flourish effects to make them shine. Let us know what you think of them when you spot them!

REPLAYS
Starting in 6.3 you will be able to view replays of your recent Fights, and even share them for other players to watch!
The Replay Parlor is a new button right in the middle of the Main Menu screen that will unlock at Player Level 16. The adorable Teeby hosts this page, and they will automatically save your 10 most recent Fights. They only have limited capacity, so they’ll erase your oldest fight to make room for new ones if you play more than ten matches.
Don’t worry though, you can also Favorite up to 10 Replays that will be saved from automatic erasure... this means in total you can have 20 replays total on your account.
You can Favorite Replays by tapping the little Heart icon in the Replays page, or you can also Favorite a Replay directly after you complete a Fight if you know you just did something cool and want to save it!
Every Replay has its own 8 digit code that you can copy and share with your friends. You can even send the Replay code directly to the in-game chat. Tapping on the code in the chat message will open the Replay directly.
Once you’ve opened a replay to watch you’ll see a big circle button at the bottom of the screen. This lets you adjust the speed of the replay to skip forward to the good stuff, or slow down the fight to half speed to figure out exactly what happened in a tricky exchange.
Please note that because replays need accurate up to date game data to function, every time there is a major update, all previous replays will cease to function and will be deleted. This includes Favorited Replays. When a new update approaches, if you have any replays you REALLY want to keep, you’ll need to record them with a screen recorder on your device or something similar.
Also, as a side note, if you’re ever submitting a fight bug report, please Favorite a replay of the fight and send us the code. It’ll help us a LOT. ❤

As mentioned above, the Fighters added in 6.0 (Scare Giver, Foot Soldier, Primal Prodigy, Bombshell, Demon Artist, and Web Crawler) have been added to all regular Relics.
In our next update, Daily Relics and Take a Break Relics will be retired from the Relic Store and the Daily Relic will be exclusively claimable as part of the Daily Gift in the Store. Until that update, however - enjoy an extra Daily Relic! (both in the Relic Store and in the Daily Gift)

LOGIN BINDING REWARDS
We have always encouraged players to have more than one binding on their accounts for security and safety. Now in 6.3 we’re literally going to pay you to add more bindings!
For every login method you attach to your account you will receive 200 Theonite. If you’ve already added logins to your account before 6.3, don’t worry, you’ll still be able to claim the free Theonite!
MENU MUSIC SELECT
Do you long to return to the days of yore and listen to the old SGM main menu music? Have you always wanted to hear the Skullgirls 2nd Encore menu theme in SGM? Now you can! In the Gameplay section of the main Options menu you’ll find a new option to choose the background music. Currently there are three tracks to choose from. Let us know which one is your favorite!

Tapping any Fighter portrait when shown in Offers or the Backstage Pass will now bring up their entries in the Catalog for easy reference.
Added a cute little visual flourish when you claim an Artifact in Parallel Realms.
Fixed an issue where the buttons on Prize Fight cards could overlap on certain devices.
Fixed an issue where clicking on a player's name in Chat would not direct to the player's profile.
Fixed an issue where certain Offers could disappear from the Store when exiting and reentering the Store.
Fixed an issue where Match Challenges for inflicting a certain amount of debuffs would not trigger correctly.
Fixed an issue where a line could be seen in the sky of Hilgard's Castle.
COMBAT
Updated the End of Match details screen to include the Fighter Score of teams that included random Fighters.
When something inflicts a random debuff on a Fighter it is now possible to inflict Quietus.

Fixed an issue where Robo-Fortune - Overclocked would not trigger her SA while benefiting from permanent Precision. (Most notable in the August Event Prize Fight)

Hey Devs, I have a request to please swap the “Rematch” and “Continue” button in the victory window. Because you added the Favorite Replay button, what used to be “Continue” is now Rematch… this is for AE.
Actually, does anyone ever use Rematch anymore? Can that button just be removed altogether? Or let us skip AE with daily ticket…
I want that button added to training mode. So when you kill the AI, you can continue with your practice session.
From what I've see, the Rematch button is used when you're doing automated matches. Not amazing value rn, but I think it should stay, in case another feature gets added which compliments it
Shard Exchange Store
For the protestors, do you go to car dealerships and and shout about the $600,000 Lamborghini? Yeah, it is just a car, but the expensive price is due to it being a luxury item. Exclusive fighters on-demand is a luxury item. It is meant for the super-rich SGM players that have near-complete collections and Scrooge McDuck towers full of shards. If you can't afford it, don't let it bait your impatience.
Now let's compare the SES to waiting for general release:
Missed out on pulling your favorite monthly Event Fighter? Can't wait 9 months for a chance to get them from standard relics? Have Gold or Diamond Relic Shards gathering dust in your Stash? You're in luck!
A brand new tab has appeared in the Offers Store that lets players exchange Gold and Diamond Relic Shards for specific Monthly Event Fighters!
Typically there is a 9 month gap between when Fighters appear in Event Relics until they appear in Regular Relics. All event Fighters will now appear in the new Shard Exchange Store 3 months after their initial debut.
Gold Fighters will cost 5,000 Gold Relic Shards. Diamond Fighters will cost 5,000 Diamond Relic Shards.
The trap: paying to save time requires you to spend all the time you banked collecting those resources, which is greater than the time you'd be saving...think about it...
Players wouldn't ask for more agency (instead we get gimmicks) in collecting variants if there was some sorta Gold/Diamond Dupe-Protection when opening relics.
I mean, by allowing players to target specific variants via money and/or resources, isn't that a type of dupe-protection (by circumventing the opening of relics)? So why not build it into the core mechanism of SGM...oh, I dunno...opening relics?
And is Dupe-Protection really the 'boogie-man' of the SGM fighter economy? No, it is only good for collecting a 1-of set and get this, you still have to hit a gold/diamond for it to work...which means statistically, players will still be seeing a lot of bronze/silver fighters...
Yeah, I'll be keeping my shards thank you very much...
